Ok so this winter I sold all of my "swoosh" gear and replaced it with Titleist. I even ditched the shoes for a few pairs of FootJoys, yes I drank the kool-aid! Have played a few winter rounds and I'm impressed. The hardest thing to swap out was my ball, I've grown rather found of them but if I'm going to get serious I need to play the best so ProV's it is! I've seen some of you mention you don't play them when it's cool, what's the go to in cooler weather?

While I don't do this 100% of the time when it's cool, I opt for the NXT Tour. I play Pro V1x though. If you're going with a Pro V1, you may want to opt for the NXT Tour S.

I think with the lower compression in the new ProV's they are still better than any other ball in the winter time. IMO

The prov1 has a softer feel even during winter, I often even switch to the dt solo, it is affordable and is quite soft during cooler weather.

I play the pro v1x all the time. I do know people that will play the pro v1 when it cooler

I play the ProV1 97% of the time, unless it's around 50 degrees or lower then I switch to the Nxt Tour S. It seems to carry just a bit better in cold weather below 55 degrees. But I have late in the afternoon on colder sunny days play the ProV1 and feel comfortable with it's results.

And welcome to Titleist & Team Titleist, I think you will enjoy the switch.

Congrats and it is about time you switched to the Pro V1!!! I do not switch my golf ball depending on the weather conditions. It is to much of a compromise to guess how the ball is going to react to different condition. The safe play is to play the same ball in hot, warm, cool and cold weather to keep everything as consistent as possible. You wouldn't change drivers or irons for different conditions...would you? It is like having 14 different swings multiplied by say, 3 sets of clubs multiplied by 2 different balls and the square root differential of weather conditions. Okay, the square root differential was made up, but doesn't it sound kind of crazy. Maybe it's me. Be loyal to your ball and the ball will show you why it's #1! : )

I play the ProV1x all year around. Hank Haney actually validated this question on his SiriusXM radio program two weeks ago and basically said what Robert C. wrote above.

I play the Prov1's during the warmer weather and then like the NXT tours during the cooler weather. Whether or not which weather ball (lol) you decide to use!

I'm I the Northeast and I don't switch. I've been playing Titleist since the 80's Balata's, Professional's etc. Always a ball with a great feel

I played Pro V's for years until I tried the new Truesoft , my new orb. Good stuff right there.
