Going to make the switch from the pro v1x from the pro V. I only have a swing speed of 90 so I hope I can play it. Looking to pick up yards off the tee and still get greenside control. In practice putting you can feel the pro V1x is a lot more firmer then the pro V

  2. not a bad switch at all

If a lower ball flight and more roll with the v1 helps your distance, then it will help you. I'm under 90 mph and the higher flight of the V1x helps me. Since I'm often short on holes, I appreciate that both Pro-Vs can be pitched/chipped onto the green and not run off the other side.

You should be satisfied with the switch. The Prov1 has good distance and feel and will suit your swing speed well!!!!

My driver speed is around 85 mph and the V1x works great. Get good distance with my driver and irons and enough spin to stop for green side pitches and chips. Have been to several ball fitting clinics at my club sponsored by Titleist and they always recommend the V1x for me.

I would tell you to play 2 rounds with the V. You'll get the input you're looking for. Definately a big difference for me.......

I also have a swing speed of 90 to 95 and I have been using the Pro V1. I like it over the x because it is softer. So far no issues with distance or spin. Although it flies lower so I need to make an effort to catch the ball on an upward blow to make it fly higher. I love them both, the x and the v1 but I love the softer feel of the v1.
  8. The ProV1 is great from inside 100yds because of the extra spin. For distance and longer irons, the ProV1x is a better choice.
