  1. I have recently changed golf balls from pro v1 to pro v1x and noticed a difference around the greens and ball flight, which is now higher. Has anyone else had this sort of difference?

The Pro V1x is designed to fly higher and does not spin as much as the Pro V1.

The ProV1x definitely flies higher, yes, especially with the driver. I generally prefer the lower trajectory of the ProV1, especially on windy days, along with it's softer feel.

yes. I switched early this season and found the Pro V1X to have a higher ball flight for me which resulted in longer carry. I was reluctant to switch from the pro v1 simply because I prefer the softer feel. I grew up playing balatas and most new balls feel too hard. its nice to see a return to the softer feel. Ultimately , the score is the factor that determines most of my choices and I'm hitting ball exactly the way I want with the X. The difference in approach shots holding the greens or short game seem almost unnoticeable which made the change easy.

Yes, the Pro V1x does fly higher with slightly less spin. On shorter wedge, gap wedge, and sand wedge shorts I see very little difference, both balls land soft with plenty of spin. With mid irons, I notice that I curve the ball a bit more with the regular V1. Both are great balls and I've had solid rounds with either—however I've found that the Pro V1x best fits my game.

Maybe this will help. This information is available above under the topic balls.

  7. The X has a lower spin off the tee and it has a higher launch too. It also has more spin on the short game too when I'm hitting them with my wedges. You can really tell the differences between them by how many rounds you game them. I personally like the softer feel of the prov1 instead. As much as I would like the added distance off the tee with the X, I have to side with more consistency with my drives with the prov1. The more times I'm in the fairway, the more I can attack the greens.

Yes, that is one of the design differences between the v1 and v1x.

Yes, plus to me the PV1X rolls out more on the green.
Not that, that's bad. But when your used to the ball checking up on the green with the PV1.
  10. ProV1x is a higher launch.

I also love the new Prov1x, having gone back and forth multiple times and trying the Prov1 and Provx1 side by side on the course, I'm loving the higher flight of the prov1x, drives go the distance I'm looking for, I didn't see the consistancy as well with the added spin of the prov1 for me but to each his own,
