As a pedestrian 14 handi-capper, I proudly fired my first sub-80 round at my local course (Yakima Country Club, Yakima, Wa.) I missed a 7 foot birdie putt on #18 that would've secured an even par 72. I gladly accepted the 1-over 73. I play a Titleist Pro V-1 golf ball, Two week old Titleist AP1 irons, Titleist Vokey 52, 56, 60 wedeges! I dig Titleist products and I dig the game of Golf!  Addicted for sure! Jimmy P

  2. Congratulations Jimmy!  Keep up the good work and be sure to let us know once you break 70!

Way to go.  That's not just a sub-80 round, that was much better (low 70s).

WOW, awesome shooting man.  a 14 handicap and you shot a 73!  Must have been on that day!  Keep it up and you will be single digits before you know it.

Congrats!  Watch those skins games the next month.  The money will be flying out of your pocket when people hear about that round.  At least you are good until the 15th when that score catches up to your GHIN.  Great job!

Wow! Do I understand you correctly, that the first time you ever broke 80, you did it by 7 shots? I hope the whole club made you buy drinks for that one! Congratulations! :-)

Congratulations! You won't be a 14 for very much longer. Good Luck on you road to sub-70.
