  1. Hi all, I always thought that prov1x was not quite as soft as the pro v1, but saw online something about the 2017 v1x being softer than pro v1. Anyone know which is which for 2017?

They are both soft but the ProV1 has a softer feel than the X but not much.

New product line. Switched it up.
  4. All of these years playing the X and according to the new comparison chart I need to switch to the V1. Glad I've got 6 dozen from my last purchase. Might last me until another version of the ball comes out.

Again, the Pro V1 is softer than the Pro V1x. Personally I like the "click" feel of the Pro V1x and it has a penetrating flight (especially into the wind) that just keeps going. Yet on the green it checks up so much other players make a comment about it.

Like before the V is still the softer of the two.

I received a sleeve of test balls back in October time frame, they were the red number model. I hit them very well and had a few very goods rounds with them, one of them being my best round to date. Could've been just a good week of golf regardless of the ball.

With that said, what version of the ball did I have? Was it a Pro V1x of yesteryear or was it the new Pro V1X that is really the Pro V1 of yesteryear?

Buying golf balls used to be so easy....
  9. I don't know where you have heard that... The Pro V1 has always been the softest of them all with the Pro V1X following in a close second.
  10. I saw the specs yesterday and it confused me that the 2017 Pro V1 is now softer than the V1x, which is opposite than previous years models. Anyone know why the switch? Seems like if you liked last years Pro V1x that you should switch to the new Pro V1. Any insights out there? Last year I played the cally Chrome Soft and Pro V1x and towards the end of the year started playing the Pro V1x more exclusively.

Check out this post on TT. Abby did an excellent interview regarding the new V and X balls and the issues you guys are talking about.
