Feel vs. Launch #s

    I have been fitted twice and the Pro V1X is the ball that fits my needs based on the launch monitor numbers - needing higher launch plus more spin.

    But I prefer the feel of the Pro V1 over the Pro V1X off every club including the short pitches and chips as well as putting. My driver distance and iron distance is basically the same with both balls.

    Anyone else out there going against their numbers?

    I wasn't fitted for the ball using Trackman, instead it was feel from 100 yards and in. That is where you score, so that is where I want the ball to perform the best.

    I’m not trying to be sarcastic when I say I wouldn’t trade one yard or distance or one bit of spin for all the feel in the world. All I can judge a ball on is how it flies through the air and what it does when it lands. After a few holes or a few rounds, any ball will “feel right” to me once I’m used to it. Especially putting, I’ve never tried a ball that doesn’t seem to putt fine once I spend 10 minutes on the practice green.
