Many of us want to have the option to play the exact same Titleist equipment as the Titleist Ambassador's, not just the golf balls, but clubs, clothing, etc. Why is that not offered?

Some of the balls may be prototypes for the pros today but some design features may make it into a future release. Or just stop being used. Titleist sells millions of balls to thousands of outlets. In retailing, "shelf space" is a limiting feature. Titleist already markets 11 balls (6 lines/5 in yellow). Many of the pros do use the same ball - note that PR won switching to the marketed ball.

Some of the clothing options are made to order based on some other sponsor, so some of those won't make to full production anyway. Compared to swoosh and other large clothing lines, most of the FJ material will be low volume by comparison. Much of the FJ offerings are customized for on-course golf shops like Pinehurst and not on what an ambassador is wearing.

There are club prototypes that one can get through Vokey or Cameron. But being one-offs, the prices are not in line with the market in general. But not unique to Titleist. Being LH, I've marveled that PM has LH clubs that often will only come in RH models. For years the 64 degree wedge comes to mind. So, yes, there are differences for the pros but mostly around the impact of sponsorship for custom products, not what is economical to market.

Prototype is the key, not retail version. Just like when some of you are chosen to test balls.

I guess it's ok for the pros to play a different configuration of the ball. After all, they play a different game. As a senior player, I look for a ball that I can compress with my slower swing speed and the Velocity or NXT work for me. I was involved in a Titleist ball test and I think the outcome was the AVX. Good ball, for sure.

Senior player here also, I love the Prov1 for accuracy, distance and consistency. At 73 still holding my own. 93 mph Driver and 132 ball speed. 2000 spin. Distance carry 225-230 on good day. 917D2, 11.25, Fujikura Tour shaft 64 gm. Stiff.
