The stamping on the Pro V1 looks a little "thick" (the font seems too wide) for a urethane-covered ball.

It does look thick in the picture, but ball in hand it looks just like the new ProV's.

Looks like maybe they’ve been through the “refurbished” process.

I suppose that is possible, but I've never seen a refurbished ball that wasn't labeled "refurbished".

I have used a few like that in the fall. I keep a box of old ones, scuffed ones from a path or ones i may have found in the woods or maybe in a range bucket lol and use those balls for when the leaves fall. That way I'm still using the ball i prefer or something pretty similar if its an older version. Save them up throughout the summer and then when november hits, its no big deal to lose that ball in the leaves cause it was an old one! Those are some nice finds!
