A little bird told me that if you played a black number that's the Pro V, the red number was the 1x.  This rumor is still unconfirmed.

ha a birdie told me that too. Actually its confirmed prov1x is red and prov1 is black.

Stoked to get to play them when they are released!!!

I loved testing them.  I can't remember which ones I had.  Out of the three, 2 made it in the water during the first round and the third one made it through 3 rounds before finding the woods.  I sent out the search and rescue for that last one, but couldn't find it.  I think the ones I had played like the Pro V1x's.  These balls held up really well.  I know it has been asked before, when are these going to be released to the public?  I have many gift cards from Christmas and I would like to stock up.  We have a couple feet of snow here in MN, but by getting new golf balls and other golf things it helps me cope with winter.

Hey-- I have played both the Pro V1 and V1x and the ball had the compression feel and spin rate of the Pro V1 golf ball.

Is there in difference between the present ball ( pro v 1x) and the new one coming out in 2011...?

I would love to test drive one of the new driver with the new prototype ball.  Please send me one and I will gladly report back.
