Half wet towel, get it wet 2-3 times a round depending on the temperature. No need for a magnet bc a putter is also a ‘shovel’ to scoop it.

A wet towel is the easiest way. Remembering it seems like something you can work on.

I wet one half of a towel down. I hand it off my bag. I use it to clean the face of my irons after a shot & take it to the green to clean my ball with. I place it between the hole and where I will exit the green. Scoop it up with my putter on the way to the next hole. Wet it down as needed throughout the round.

I use a Ballzee, a pocket ball "towel". It's small and compact and microfiber lined that you get wet before the round. It holds enough moisture to clean the ball but won't make your pocket wet. You can find them on Amazon for about $8.00 for a 2-pack. I also have a putter towel that's a smaller square rather than a big caddy towel that I use for extra dewy mornings.

Another vote for Ballzee, love them. I have like three of them.

Maybe if you can become good enough you can pay your caddie a couple bucks to do it like Scotty Scheffler?

I bring a towel along with my scotty headcover to the green. I know I won't forget my headcover so I always place the towel next to that.

Another wet towel guy here. I have a bunch of small microfiber rags and keep several in my golf cart in case a walk away and leave one on the course. They are cheap, easy to clean, and hold water pretty well. good for cleaning club grooves too.

Some old timers in my league keep a small towel clipped to their sides with a carabiner. That way you just forget it's there & it doesn't get in your way.. Wet it in between holes if necessary.
  14. Beer is sticky made me laugh. Just picturing a guy pouring a Miller Lite on his ball on the green :)

Just curious what you guys and gals use to clean you balls on the green? Spit is gross and beer is sticky. I used to carry a towel with me but was forgetting them and quite frankly got tired of lugging another thing around. There has to be an easier way. I then went to a magnet towel which is great from the fairway with irons, but a Scotty Cameron won't stick to the magnet thus defeating the purpose. Help!

If that was a Stick-it magnetic towel, it comes with a metal plug that you stick in the hole in the top of your putter grip. It's in mine and doesn't add to the weight of the putter or interfere with use of the putter.

I wet half my towel before the round. If it's hot, I'll wet it again at the turn. Easy to clean balls and the my clubs.

Wet towel - but I also forget mine frequently as well. I normally settle for spit.

ClubGlove Caddie Towel, half wet and they come with (at least I know they used to) a small towel. I take the small towel with me when I hit the green. The bigger towel if I need to chip or hit a bunker shot. Has a slit in the middle to hang around you clubs
  23. it's hot enough here in Utah now that I can probably just use my sweat
