    Hi there

I play off 24 and have been experimenting to find the best Titleist golf ball for my game.

I have found that the 2009 Pro V1 goes about 10 yards shorter than the 2011 Pro V1X. Is this normal? Do I produce high spin with my driver, is that why I hit the 2009 Pro V1 shorter?

I am going to get some new 2011 Pro V1's to see what the distance and greenside spin is like. The 2009 Pro V1 stops dead for me, do you think that the 2011 Pro V1 stops as quick?

Any thoughts and personal experiences would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Benjamin, Northern Ireland.

    Ben,

It seems to me, the 2011 ProV1 does not stop like the older model.  I changed to the NXT Tour, less expensive

and it is very similar to the 2011 Pro V1.  I think some of the players on the  senior tour play that ball, too.

    Nice Ball.

Thanks Don. I'll try the new Pro V1 and see how well it stops for me! Thanks, Benjamin
