Thats a hard one. You are talking about 2 different balls, 1 designed to spin the other not to spin.

Some people need the spin to gain distance, some people need less spin to gain distance.

How you swing and the characteristics of your driver factor into which is longer.

Someone with a 10.5 driver swinging up on the ball will probably find a low spin ball gives the most distance. And the same person swinging a 8.5 driver might find the high spin ball giving the most distance. The actual spin rates may be the same, because you are using a low spin ball with a higher spin driver and a high spin ball with a low spin driver.

Why don't you just play two balls on a couple of driver holes and see which one flies the furthest for you?  I'm a big fan of the New ProV1, but I played the old ProV1 too.

Although I seriously think that both are comparable to one another other than the spin characteristics, I too agree that only you can do an honest evaluation of the two to see what works best for your game.

I played the prov1x last year. this year i switched to the new pro v1 because it goes pretty much about the same distance off the tee.. I play the pro v1 because it last longer without scuffing and has better short game control

i still play the old prov1x ball. i think it goes just a tad further and everything else is the same. i have a sleeve of the new ones and pull one out occasionally. test both on a course and see which one works better for you!

Each ball that we make is engineered to fly roughly the same distance, 2-5 yards carry typically. Example-  if you were to hit each ball in our line at the same club head speed and same impact position, each ball will fly the same distance.  As for the Pro V1's and Pro V1x's, the Pro V1x will always edge out the other balls, within that 2-5 yard gap, regardless of club head speed.
