i have about a dozen lake/second chance prov1s at home..is there any difference in feel or quality between new balls and lake balls..i have a big bag of all branded here at home and i feel myself that all seem to be good in or around 120 metres mark..i have the option of buying 1 dozen pro vs for 60 euros or lake ball for 25 euros..OVER here in lreland extremely expensive ball to be buying

If you're doing more than hitting into a net or chipping in the lawn I wouldn't recommend Lake/Second Chance/refurbished balls to anyone.  The feel is less than that of a first hand ball, and often they lack distance.  If you're looking for a less expensive ball try the NXT or even Practice Pro V's.  Water balls are sub par (in a bad way)

This is interesting. I would have bet differently-- thinking that the cover and core would be impermeable and therefore not be affected.  So much for my knowledge of physics...
