I agree with you Dennis. The optic yellow really makes a difference to me also--particularly on hazy days. I would like to see them as well. I have played the premium Srixon in the past mainly for that reason. However, when I do so it is always at a tradeoff for missing the feel and performance of the NXT/ProV balls.

Hi Greg,
As an alternative to the Pinnacle or the Srixon balls, I've used the Bridgestone e6 and it's a nice ball that feels good. I'm just a real Titleist loyalist and would much prefer an NXT or NXT Tour if they would make it.
Yesterday I played really lousy, losing one ball in the woods and 2 others in the canals that snake through the course. The last straw was bouncing one on a cart path, putting a big scuff on it. Finally, I reached in my bag and discovered I had no more yellow balls in there. I pulled out a Pro V1x with the Team Titleist logo on it.
Needless to say, it felt wonderful to hit and totally invisible in the sky for me. Fortunately, my playing partner has had lasic surgery and has 20/15 vision, so he was my seeing eye dog to get me around the golf course.
I simply realized how badly I need an optic ball even more than ever to enjoy this crazy game.

I just saw an ad for the Q Star for the first time while watching the PGA Tournament on TV.
Between the Pinnacle, the Qstar and the e6, I know there are good golf balls out there in optic yellow, BUT I WANT TO PLAY A TITLEIST...
C'mon Titleist - What's the plan???

I was told to keep an eye out for a yellow NXT and DT next spring when the new versions of those balls come out
Nick - From your mouth to God's ears... OK maybe to the ears of Titleist... big booming voice resounding in the ball factory... "Thou shalt make a yellow NXT!!!"

I, for one, would love the ProV in yellow. I may be in the minority, as the majority of the guys I play golf with give me a hard time about teeing up a yellow ZStar, but yellow works for me. I prefer the ProV by three to one over the ZStar, but preferring something doesn't mean I can see it. I'd buy ten dozen today if I could get them.
I agree. The NXT Tour performs really well for me. I see no extra benefit with the Pro V1 or V1x, but ANY better quality Titleist in optic yellow would be preferable to the Pinnacles I use. I've started trying the e6 in yellow and find it softer on short shots and off the putter. Wish the Titleist people would hear us.

how do you get the e6 to stop, for me it will stop from a full swing but pitching and putting it just keep going....even uphill
Interesting... I haven't noticed much problem in that regard. Maybe it's where I play. We have a pretty British style course, (rolling bumpy fairways and hard ground), so I hit quite a few bump and run approaches when I would otherwise have to hit 1/2 wedges that wouldn't spin much.
I definitely like the feel of the e6 off the putter though.

Guys, I just got confirmation todat that there will be a NXT Tour Yellow in your Pro Shop by Feb 2012!!
Yep - I got the new Edwin Watts catalog in the mail today and saw the ad for the yellow NXT. I have some Pinnacles to get of first, but as soon as Watts gets the new NXT in stock, I am definitely a happy camper.

This thread started in August. There are other threads where Titleist monitors declined to comment if/when a yellow ball will appear. Had they said there will be "something yellow" coming out at the PGA event in late January, I wouldn't have stocked up on E6/Tri-Speed Optics while they were on sale for Christmas. There is always next year to get the NXT Tour-S Optic. NXT was my preferred white ball, but I need optic yellow when I play by myself or when others tire of spotting for me. There were good deals for the NXT, but only in white... If it is only a small secret that the 910 line is due for an update in the next cycle, how hard would it have been to confirm "something yellow" is coming? Certainly, didn't mind the time to promote Q-Star. Been there, tried that, but I will try the -S Opic at some point.

hey guys,
I play the Pro V1 religiously but my sis bought me a dozen of the Srixon yellow and I loved them - I don't need the yellow to see the ball, but I could see it more clearly and I enjoyed playing it. If Titleist made a yellow Pro V1 I'd tee it up.

I've heard the Srixon is a good ball, but I'm not so strong any more that I find much difference in the performance of the most expensive balls compared to things like the e6 or Titleist NXT. In their price range, I think they are the best performance I'm going to get for my money.
I still wish the big brown truck would pull up to the pro shop where I work and surprise me one day with yellow NXT Tour balls.
Talking about it at work yesterday, (we had a lot of time to talk because it rained like crazy), one of the guys got cute and colored an NXT with a yellow highlighter. I brought it home and stuck it on my desk.
There you go! Problem solved! That could be great winter therapy...
Uh Greg... I hate to break your heart, but I live in Miami, Florida... What's this "winter" you speak of???
Oh...how 'bout "summer" therapy then? (I was down in Lauderdale a couple of weeks ago and the courses were empty.)
Come on up here to Chicago for a visit in February. I'll introduce you to the game diehards play. No worries about water hazards!
OK, one of us is crazy... You for thinking I would come to Chicago during the winter, or me for considering it.
I was born in Chicago in May of 1949. It was too cold even then... ;-)

Guys, Just cover it in highlighter like I do!

Hello Dennis M, I just ordered 8 dozen Yellow Titleist DT DoLo golf balls, these are available from the UK, the balls are not expensive but shipping was, I'm with you on the Yellow ball for optic friendly. My cost is $39.53 dozen US, if your interested in a dozen when they come in just let me know and I can ship you a dozen for cost plus US postage, I don't want to make money on these I just wanted a couple dozen for myself to try. I used to use the ProV1 but can't see a white ball in flight either and I've been using a yellow Bismuth golf ball which is good but is a harder ball, let me know if you want to try a dozen or 2 when they arrive, thanks.
I lost one today and stuck a bunch of leftover Pinnacles in my shag bag. This coming week, if our pro shop hasn't already gotten yellow NXTs, I'm going to order them from wherever I can find that does.
Check out http://www.titleist.com/golf%2Dball%2Dfitting/ it shows the NXT and DT Solo in yellow but no ProV1, check out the specs of the DT SoLo against the ProV1

Titleist does offer yellow in the NXT and DT brands (I think) but a yellow or orange V1 would be a great addition for us lacking full eyesight. The Z Star series is a good ball and I may have to switch. The B330RX is available in yellow and pink and, is a very good ball. Hopefully, Titleist will offer this soon.
