    Hi Team Titleist,

I recently went to a Titleist Thursday and was fit to irons, hybrid, and a driver. I was hitting a little more aggressive of a hook than I typically do and the fitting set the clubs up to a fade setting. I have recently received some golf lessons to get my swing back to normal which has result in the hosel settings on the hybrid and driver being set back to neutral.

My question is does it matter that the clubs were shipped/built with the shaft/grip lined up to a different position than I am currently using (example - B4 to A1 now). I am hoping its just an aesthetic issue and nothing is impacted with the performance.

Aesthetic issue. Titleist doesn't find "purring" shafts to offer benefit. The only issue is if you use the grip alignment to set your hands.

The shaft performance will not change based on Sure-Fit adapter settings. As you have noticed, the grip orientation will change and depending on the grips used you may need to re-grip.

Changing from the initial setting to another more suitable (for your swing) setting has no effect on shaft performance but rather overall performance of the club- the shaft has its own characteristics independent from the other club specifications- hope this makes sense.

No impact as long as you have round grips, not the reminder ridge. I change out my grips when they get old with the 360's so only the logo on the shaft moves around during adjustments. I too bounce around between A1 and B3.

There will be no performance issues. That is why the stock grip is the Golf Pride Tour Velvet - orientation doesn't matter. Now if you have a Golf Pride MCC, then you may want to get it regripped in the new orientation.

  7. The shaft performance will not be affected at all. The grip will only be an appearance issue ie: golf pride will be on the side or bottom depending on what it was originally at. The only grip that I know would have a negative impact is the with a hosel setting change is the golf pride align grips as they have a ridge that runs along the bottom for finger/hand position.

I would say no impact with performance by the adjustments....I adjust my driver from time to time and never noticed a issue with how my grip is set on the shaft. The only thing I think would change is if you had one of the alignment grips with the ridge going down it even then I think it will be just fine for you.
