I have cured the hooks, now I have jinxed myself and I'll go out today hook all over the course.

I have many many rounds without a hook, which since the beginning of time has been my biggest problem.

I always used a weak grip, until last year when I started with a strong grip, and the hooks were worse with a weak grip......go figure.

Yesterday I pulled out driver with steel shaft and decided I was going to test what I thought was the cure on a weak grip, still no hooks.

What I have done is with the right hand, you know how you are supposed to hold the club down in your fingers, throw that out. I'll try to describe.

The finger side of the knuckle pad of the right index finger pushes into the shaft, the right thumb lays beside it. At the top, the knuckle pad of the right index finger is directly under the shaft.

It has been a long time since I've hooked the ball. I do the same thing with weak or strong grip. It has not turned into a slice.

I do still pull and push, probably mostly alignment, I still have balls that go straight when intended to curve which I think is probably moving the ball a little forward or a little back.

I hope this hasn't jinxed me, I'll find out today, and I hope this will help someone else.
