what is everybodys thoughts on weight distribution when setting up to address with driver. 50/50 is what i have always played but have recently tried a 60/40 and even 70/30 weight on the back leg. i have always had trouble with a low trajectory. will the weight shift help, etc. i do use a low kick shaft and 10.5 degree driver 44.5 stiff. i play to a 7 handicapp

  2. The weight on your back foot will encourage the ball to get up, but it will have a tendancy to send the ball out to the right ( high fade) i would recommend getting fitted for a different shaft, or even shifting your ball position further forward in your stance, to encourage a hit on the upswing. Hope this Helps

Try setting up with a little more weight on your front foot but still have your right shoulder lower than your left assuming you are right handed. The lower body with weight forward is balanced by the upper body with weight back. Tee the ball where it is somewhere in the arch of your left foot, butt of the shaft pointing just ahead of your belt buckle. You should be able to make your swing and finish with your weight forward on your left foot and keep this position until your ball hits the ground. In other words look pretty at the finish.

Honistly i would say see your local PGA Pro. I say this because you should never to 70/30 weight to the back with a driver. If your using a low kick 10.5. I'm thinking you have a few other flaws with your swing that is causing this low shot.. like you might be casting or any number of things.
