  1. Guys

I am getting on board the belly putter band wagon.

My question is related the ideal amount of pressure on the anchor point on the belly. I tried jamming it in there but had a very inconsistent stroke. Interested in any tips or ideas on how to get it right?

Sorry, not a clue. I tried, can't putt with belly or long putter.

Hope you can get it figured out.

I've been using a belly for over 5 years now. I love it. Took me from an average putter to being a true strength. Especially under tournament pressure. To answer your question...you most DEFINITELY do NOT want to jam it in your belly. Mine goes into my belly just firm enough to keep it anchored. Naturally, you don't want any type of tension in your stroke. Hope this helps

There isn't really a right or wrong way to do it. You will see many different variations on tour. Keeping playing around with different styles and setups and you might find what works best for you.

Hi been using the belly putter for about 2 months now and found the best anchor point is just above the navel with slight pressure the butt of the putter is just in contact enough to keep a constant point of contact on the backswing and follow thru ... hope this helps
  6. I've learned that 1 inch to the left of the sternum is best.
