I'm an 8 handicap that is having driving issues lately. I finally got my swing down (along with my scores). Irons (710MB) are a little high but nice soft landings and plenty long (8 iron is 155 or so). My 3 wood (710Fd) shots are bullets, good for 250-260 yards or more. Until last week, the driver (910D3 9.5 dialed down to 8.75) was the same and way out there. However, recently only the driver started to go a mile high. It's not fading or slicing. It's just high and a little right. It's still out there close to 300, and the ball mark on the face is dead center. How can I be getting the ball so high without opening the clubface or getting under it? I tried moving the ball back in my stance, but all that did was add a fade. I can live with the high ball, but it's tough on my home course because there is a lot of wind.
What could I be doing with the driver that I don't seem to be doing with all the other clubs? I figure I must be getting the head in front of my hands, but that usually results in a draw and/or loss of distance. Neither is happening in this case.
Help!
