    Hi Fellow Team Titleist members,

Hope you are all doing well.  My question is, do you use different swing thoughts, and therefore different swings for the variety of shots we face during a round?  I play decently well, shooting in the 80s most of the time, but I think one thing that may be holding me back from getting better is that I have been operating under the premise that I should be using my one swing for all shots.

However it has occurred to me lately, as I have been practicing pretty heavily, that this game demands a variety of shots and therefore should demand a variety of approaches.  For example, an early wristcock enables me to hit my irons very crisp and solid, yet that type of move doesn't work well with my driver.  Another example, for me, is that for pitch shots of 50-75 yards, an arm/body swing with no conscious thoughts of the hands works nicely.

Looking forward to your thoughts on this.

    Cheers,

    Jason

I have figured out the perfect setup and swing for every shot possible, wish I could remember them all.

It is true that for all "normal" shots you should have 1 swing.

Try to keep the variations as close to the "normal" swing as possible. In other words, you want minor tweaks.

For example if you have problems with making solid contact with ball above your feet, and you make 1 change, and this 1 change causes solid contact consistently but you always end a little left, then make the second change and aim a little right. Don't keep making changes so the ball will go where you're aimed, keep it simple.

Thanks for your feedback John - much appreciated.  More food for thought.
