HI all-  i have been having issues so far this year with a "bleeder fade" one that starts fairly str8 and drifts out to the right towards the end.  I got a new d3 this year with a stiffer shaft then i was playing before. (prior i did not have much issue)  I have 9.5 degree set in D1 currently.  I was curious if moving the setting to C2 would help my issue or would it make it worse.? anyone else have this issue moving to a slightly stiffer shaft?

    Thanks

Man, wish I could hit the bleeder every time.  :)

But yes, the C-2 position may help straighten things out.  Very cool to have this option for players now.

Moving to the left on the fitting chart will promote more of a right to left ball flight so it may be worth trying...  It sounds like you may be slightly late with your hands at impact causing the club to come in slightly open (bleeder fade)... Try slowing down your body to help your hands square up... Also remember that just because the shaft is stiffer than what your use to doesnt mean you need to swing harder... hope this helps.

thanks guys, in addition.. is there ball position i should try to adjust to that might also help alleviate some of the fligth.  ie closer to left side, or right... or still just off left heal... there are times i feel like i am reaching,...

I have that problem sometimes(the bleeder fade), however I think it is a personel issue, not a club issue. I think its just timing for me, and I just have to work on it.

i am also curious along with the ball position question i posted 2 posts earlier in this thread, if should consider trying a different ball too.  I currently play the Pro V1 but i am wondering if spin may be to great... thoughts and suggestions on both the ball position post and the ball i am playing.  thanks

I should note i love my pro v1 for scoring but if i cant find the FW i am behind the 8ball right away.  thanks

Keith I'm with Ryan on the fade, a nice little fade is nice to have with driver.

There is no way of telling why you have a little fade without seeing your swing, but the face is slightly open to the swing path.

This could be because of your eyesight, you may actually be setting up with the face open and think it is square. I used to adjust for my eyesight, but it finally got bad enough I had to wear glasses while playing. I have astigmatisms, 1 vertical, 1 horizontal, so basically I can't see straight.
