  1. I hit my irons consistently in the sweet spot, but I have an issue: I can't generate backspin! I can't get the ball to bite, but i can get my wedges to check up. I just can't seem to get the ball to stop. I can put the ball exactly where i want it to land, but it rolls away. Right now, I am hitting the ball short so the ball can roll toward the green.

    Thanks!

if you are hitting your irons consistently in the sweet spot then you might already be doing this, but try to hit down on the ball. It helps with contact and you will spin the ball more to. Hope this helps!

I'd just buy a groove sharpener and get them sharp enough to stick or backspin

Are you using a "feel" or "super soft" ball for full swing then switching to ProV1X for short game?

even if you are or aren't  you can't exactly switch your ball halfway down the fairway.

what irons do you have? you need to pinch the ball between the grass and the club and get a high ball flight to get more spin.

If you are having trouble holding the green there are several possible issues. Without seeing your stike pattern, ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and land angle it is difficult to determine exactly what you need. Find an Advanced Fitting Center in your area and get all the answers.
