Any tips for correcting smother-hooks (low and barely off the ground) when hitting hybrids/fairways? I have a sweeping swing style, with no trouble getting the driver the air?

The best way ive found to fix hooks is to do the following:

First go to the range, at the range practice keeping the ball a little forward in your stance. There are many different things that cause these. The main two is standing to far from the ball and moving your head. Practice keeping your head down and try to scoot up just a little. The most important thing however is to not focus on your hands. When you get to the top of your backswing rapidly turn your hips and just let the club fall through. If you just use the mechanics, it should work. However if you focus on our hands you setting yourself up for trouble.

Potomac Golfer,  Quick fix, try playing the ball forward in your stance.  It appears you are coming down on the ball with the head closed at contact.  OR  you are trying to pick the ball and therefore attempting to help the ball get up by picking up your  lead shoulder.  Hybrids do require you to hit down on them like a long iron.

additionally,  if you are playing the ball forward, move it back to the middle of your stance and hit down on the ball.

    good luck

I would try these three tips separately. 1. Try weakening your grip. 2. Set the club more open at address. 3.If your right handed try getting the club to balance on your left thumb at the top of your back swing. I am sure one of these tips will help!
