Every year i travel back to my home state of Minnesota with my kids to celebrate the 4th of July week with family and friends. We typically get everyone together for a family golf outing every year. This year we played out at Rose Lake Golf Club on the 4th of July, the course i grew up on. We had four groupings out and amazing weather to golf. The course itself is in great playing condition and is a diamond in the rough in south central Minnesota. I managed to only bring 3 golf balls to play with so i asked my aunt prior to the round if she had any to spare. She said, "You can have this one, i have quite a few". I looked down at the ball and it was a Titleist ProV1x but had a unique logo on the side of a corporation that read "Patriot". I used this golf ball the entire round until the 177 yard Par 3 16th. I hit a 5-iron with a slight fade that hit the front left of the green and rolled up and to the right and dropped in the hole. The celebration ensued after with every group coming together at the 16th green to congratulate me. This was a life long bucket list goal for me and to do it on the 4th of July with a Titleist ProV1x ball with a logo reading "Patriot" with all my friends and family on the course I grew up playing golf on is a once in a lifetime story.
