Lakeview Golf Course. Northern central WV. July 31, 2023. 2:38PM. Hole 12. Par 3 - 167yds to the pin. 6 iron in hand. I walk up to the tee box, my golf buddy for the day, Ice, sits in the golf cart. I had not been playing the best round of my life this day. I step up to the tee box and smack my 6 right down the middle, it has a high arc with a slight draw in it at the top, I can tell it’s going to be a good ball and land somewhere on the green. I call out to Ice “hey ice, watch the green!” He lifts his head to look in the direction of the green just in time for my ball to hit the front of the green, and begin its roll toward the cup. It rolled toward the pin and to the left and then dropped in the cup. We couldn’t believe it. I ran over and jumped up and down and sprinted to the green. Ice was in toe recording my reaction the whole time. I make it to the hole, look in, and see the ball is indeed in the cup. I dropped to my knees in astonishment. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I still can’t really. This is a day that I will never forget for the rest of my life. Thanks to all who read this.
