I am 66 years old and have been playing golf for 46 years. I have never had a hole in one until 3 weeks ago. I've had many lip outs though. Last night (7/31/23) I was playing in my regular Monday night mixed league at Fox Hollow in Timonium Maryland, I call hole 2 my nemesis hole, 136 yard par 3, elevated tee box. I still play from the white tee's. We always play CTP on the par 3's and someone had already stuck one close. I teed up my Titleist 1, Pro V1 choked a little down on my miz 921, 8 iron and let it fly with an easy 3/4 swing. As the ball reached its apex my competitor said "that's in the hole!" It landed softly on the moist green and rolled 6 feet, hit the stick and fell in! This was my second one in three weeks at the same course! My first was hole no. 5. Getting a hole in one is an unbelievable feeling but this feeling was magnified 100X being in the league and sharing it first hand with a large group of dear friends! My bar bills are getting expensive :).
