On Sunday 7/30, I was even coming into the 16th. We were playing from the tips and I knew that my career low was within reach; but, trying hard not to think about that. The tees were a box up from their normal location so I had to commit to a club because it's all carry (about 175 yards) to the green.

I hit the shot about a groove low and immediately began yelling "go". My friends, however, were yelling "get in!" Sure enough, the ball landed softly about 15 feet short of the pin, and gently rolled into the cup. We went insane (as one does), but after a few minutes of celebration I realized I needed to see it in the cup before I believed it was in. When we finally arrived at the hole I took a deep breath of relief and my playing partner told me to refocus so I could close out the round.

I went on to par the last two holes (with a heart rate at 142 on the 18th tee box) and shoot a career low 69 from the back tees with a crew of good friends watching from the balcony. Greatest day of my sporting life!
