I'm 59 and I've been golfing for two years. Last Friday I was playing with a foursome in a tournament at Wentworth Golf Course in Jackson, NH. I lost my ball off the back of the green on hole #7 and, while searching, I found a shiny new Titleist ProV1 ball in the brush.
I used the ProV1 to tee off with my driver on hole #8, which is a par 4 hole, 232 yards from the beginner tee box. We watched as the ball sailed over the middle of the fairway, land at the front of the green, roll and then drop out of sight. We all groaned, thinking I had lost another ball in the hazard behind the green. Much to the surprise of us all, my ball was sitting pretty in the bottom of the cup, wedged against the pin. I was obviously excited, but I was taken aback by the level of excitement it generated in the other golfers.
