My first ever hole-in-one. It was the second day of our annual club championship and I was having a troubling round. Nothing seemed to be hitting right, putter, mid irons, just not good. We were playing the blue/white tees so that means the par 3’s were from the blue tees. Not a good distance for me as my mid irons are sporadic. The hole was playing 170 so I went with my 5 iron. Swing felt good, ball strike felt bad. I immediately just dropped the club out of frustration and turned around not to see what I thought was a garbage shot. My playing partners started to shout that it was going in and I turned around in time to see the last few feet before it dropped in the hole. Anyone who has had their first hole-in-one knows the feeling, euphoria. All the time you spend playing this game, to get one is what it must feel like to break into the 70’s for the first time.
