Yesterday we pulled up to the course and it was pouring buckets. My brother in law talked me in to waiting it out and not taking a rain check. He kept telling me it was going to clear up. The sun started to come out about 10 minutes before our tee time. We hurried in to the pro shop to check in and hurried down to the first tee box. I knew it was going to be a good day from the first drive. I played a great round on the front and was hoping to keep the momentum going heading in to the back 9. I gave myself birdie looks on 10 and 11 but had to settle for pars. We pull up to the tee box on hole 12. We shot the pin at 123 yards. I went and grabbed my gap wedge and tee up my ball. My swing felt good from the takeaway. I got to the top of my backswing and started my downswing. Crack! I hit the ball pure and took a little divot. The ball comes out nice and high. My brother in law said it looks good. You're going to be just left of the cup. I said it's going to hit the slope and kick it right down to the hole. That's exactly what happened. You could hear the ball hit the bottom of the cup from the tee box. It was one of the best moments of my life. I am going to ride this high for as long as I can. I'm so glad that I didn't take a rain check.
