On August 25th 2023 i played in the Eastlake (Ohio) Police Department Golf Outing. My foursome consisted of myself, The Sheriff of Lake County, The Chief Deputy, and another co-worker from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. On the 9th Hole at Blackbrook Golf Course (Mentor, Ohio) i pulled out a 9 iron from 140 yards. We all saw the ball land but thought it rolled off the back edge of the green. One other member hit a similar shot but we saw it bounce left and off the back side of the green. When we pulled up to the green we only found one ball off the back of the green. i did the typical “check the hole” only to find my Titleist Pro V-1 sitting in the bottom of the cup. It had in fact hit five feet past and spun back in. A moment i will never forget!!
