Teed off early to avoid the crowds. 6:45am and we are the first at the course. The ground is heavy, and wet with dew. Played the first hole and made a par. Second hole, 148 yards hitting up towards the hill. A large tree to the left, its branches overhanging. Hit it slightly to the left towards the green, and there is a good chance to hit the branches. Aim slightly right, and normally you can allow the roll of the hill to bring it onto the green if you hit it in the right spot. Too far right, and you end up in the rough grounds. Using a hybrid, I hit it upwards, you couldn't see it land as it levelled off higher up than its eyeline, but you gauge it that you are roughly on the green as you can see the top of the flag from the tee off. Went up to the green, and the green was partially white due to the morning dew, and left a beautiful run mark in the grass that showed the ball land three feet from the hole and its roll into the hole.
