It is 9/10/23. It was a big golf match between 2 extremely rich farmers and 2 very poor city slickers. The slickers took command early and never took the foot off the gas. The match was over by hole 15. On the 158 yard uphill 18th hole on of the slickers(me) made the day one to remember. The club was a 5 iron. The wind was a slight left to right breeze and the ball was struck purely. The ball rose to extraordinary heights for a five iron and was on a line slightly left of the flagstick. It hit the green 2 feet from the flag with a slight cut action. It then bounced and didn’t take a 2nd bounce. The hole was just over a ridge but all 4 players had an inkling it was in. The drive up the hill to the hole showed no ball and a divot 2 feet from the hole. The attached pictures tell the rest. First career hole in one. One day short of 58th birthday.
