With a fairly stiff headwind, I lined up a shot to favor my slight fade which would be exaggerated in the face of a 15 mph wind. The official blue tee yardage is 127, but the tee markers were moved up and the pin was on the front of the green yielding about a 115 yard shot against the wind. I selected a 9 iron and struck the ball well and the ball sailed in a high trajectory with a slight fade toward the hole. The ball landed about two inches behind the hole and spun back to drop in for my first recorded ace.
