After forty years of golfing, I finally got my first hole in one this summer at Gearhart Golf Links, on hole #11. From the tips, the hole plays 260 yards, I was playing it from 230 yards with a 10 mph wind in my face. I hit a 3 wood that never left the stick. Took one hop and it disappeared but we couldn’t tell for sure or not if it went it. We walked up to the green and didn’t see my ball, so I ran over to the cup and it was sitting at the bottom of the hole. Best part of it, was my wife was playing with me and we got to experience it together.
