On the second day of 2024, I had the opportunity to play with new golf companions in a foursome arranged by the clubhouse for the tee time of 7:49 am at Santa Anita Golf Course in Santa Anita, CA. At hole #4, a challenging par 3 measuring 134 yards with a significant uphill slope, I confidently struck the Titleist Pro V1X using an 8 iron. The shot produced a satisfying sound from the sweet spot, and the ball soared gracefully, bouncing twice towards the hole before mysteriously disappearing. Initially, my teammates believed it might have missed the green and rolled down the back. However, upon reaching the green, there was no ball in sight. Feelings of excitement mixed with a bit of trepidation as we cautiously approached the hole cup, and to our delight, the ball was nestled inside. This marks my second hole-in-one (since the year 2017) in my golfing journey.
