Played with my boss at his club for a work outing recently. Number 6 is a short par three over water (with the hazard wrapping around to the left of the green as well). Flag location was up front left, so the smart play was aim right to the center of the green.
I was playing decently well and coming off a birdie on the Par 5, 5th hold. So, I hit a gap wedge right at the flag. I initially thought it was going to be a little short and was afraid it might be in the water. I told the ball to "get up, get up." But the caddy told me it was good...
I heard it more than I saw it as the ball drilled the flag/cup. Slam dunk for my first ever hole in one! I've definitely had worse Wednesday afternoons at "work."
