I have been playing for over ten years and I never thought this was a possibility for me. I was having a rough day having lost a couple balls already. This is the first year I play through the winter so I thought this year was going to be different. I got out there for the second time this year and after a disappointing first four holes the possibility was the last thought on my mind. I was striking the ball better then ever but I was all over the course. I was pushing right, pulling left, going long, and losing balls it was another fun day out of the course. I get up to hole 5 and it was a par 3, 165 yards. I had struck my 6 iron pretty solid the hole before so I was confident walking up to the tee box. I had lost the hole before to my buddy but we play ready golf or “I think I figured it out let me hit before I lose it” golf lol. I struck the titleist v1x solid my flight path was one cup out right of the hole. I landed on the front of the green and the ball started rolling towards the hole then it just dropped. I wanted to believe so bad I got my first hole in one and I wanted to jump and scream but I thought to myself no way it probably rolled off the back of the green and I’m going to embarrass myself. The group behind me was waiting for me to go and they thought the ball went in as well so excitement starting to take over me a little bit but I did not want to get my hopes up. I waited for my buddy to take his shot then rushed him to the cart so we could drive up and check. As we were driving up to the hole “which felt like it was an hour drive” I did not see my ball anywhere so I thought to myself it had to be! I jumped out the cart as it was still moving and ran up to the hole and to my surprise the ball was sitting on the bottom of the cup. I was over come with joy I start jumping and screaming. Now I think all my shots should be hole in ones. ‍♂️ Golf and I have the perfect love and hate relationship!
