My friend is from our of state and refers to our local par 3 course as his "home course". He's not very good, but capable of pars on this course. He hit an awful shot into the 71 yard 3rd hole. It was so far right that he stopped watching and it bounced off the hill. I nudged our other friend and said "watch him get a hole in 1 before us". We are both about 5 handicap players.

Sure enough it comes screaming across the green, hits the flag and drops. He didn't see it and we started cheering! He thought we were messing with him and was over the moon.

The only bad part about this story is that he will never let us forget about it.
