I retired in December of 2019 and said that I was going to start playing golf on a regular basis in my new home town of Myrtle Beach SC. Over the years I've seen a few hole in ones and wondered if that would ever hapeen to me. I've had a few close calls but today was my day. I approached the 3rd hole of the World Tour golf links in Myrtle Beach and was looking to just land on the island green and have a shot at a possible birdie. The pin position was located behind the sand trap and I said to my playing partner this hole is hard enough and these guys had to do that. I read the yardage as 130 yards and grabbed my 9 iron. I swung and struck the ball pure. I watched the ball travel over the sand trap and disappear. My playing partner said you better get your credit card ready because I believe that ball went in even though we didn't see it. As I approached the green my ball was no where to be found. As I was walking up I was looking in the water to see if my ball possibly rolled into the water. When I didn't see a ball I focused on the pin and saw my Titleist PRO-V1 sitting in the cup and the celebration began. It was truly some thing that was knocked off my bucket list.
