This Father’s Day at Oso Creek Golf Course will forever be etched in our memories. During the Father’s Day tournament, which my dad and I entered as a father-daughter duo, we experienced an unforgettable moment. On the final hole of the day—hole number 12—my dad pulled out his 9 iron for a 117-yard shot that became a moment of a lifetime. As the ball soared through the air, landing about 6 inches from the cup, took a little hop and landed perfectly in the cup for his very first hole in one, our entire team erupted in cheers. The excitement spread quickly, with golfers on nearby holes stopping their play to join in the celebration. The shot was made even sweeter as it happened on a closest-to-the-pin contest hole, which he, of course, won hands down. The joy and camaraderie we experienced in that moment made it an unforgettable Father’s Day, filled with pride and happiness that we will always cherish.
