Yesterday (7/12/24), my 16-year-old daughter, Hannah, asked me to play golf with her. This was the first time she had ever asked, so I happily accepted. The first hole at Percy Warner (Nashville, TN) is a 121-yard par 3. I selected a pitching wedge and took a practice swing while telling Hannah how to hold the club, address the ball, and keep her head still. I addressed the ball, took a slow, smooth swing and tracked the ball, feeling like it was going to be a pretty good shot. It landed pin high, rolled three or four feet toward the hole and magically disappeared from sight! We jumped up and down together and shouted with glee. What a special moment...recording my first ever ace at age 51 with my daughter by my side. A moment neither of us will ever forget. And yes, it was with a Titelist Pro-v-1.
