Our friends group almost cancelled our regular round of golf due to rain and fog…sure glad we didn’t. Because of the heavy fog, I switched to a yellow Titleist TruFeel from my go to Pro V1. I had to hit the ball well, since I could only see 50 yards and errant balls would be lost in thick wet rough. We arrived at hole 4, a 135 yard par 3, pulled out my 9i and launched it into the fog. We heard it hit the green, but as we approached the ball is not in sight. We searched the heavy fringe, then checked the hole! My First ever Hole in One and all I saw was the bright yellow tee shot disappearing into the fog. Still, it was joyful to see it glowing at the bottom of the cup…but I’d loved to have seen it roll in.
