It was on the new course 13th hole at Essendon Country club in Hertfordshire today playing a 4 ball. I usually use an 8 iron but as it was raining heavily I decided on one more club so used a 7 iron. I hit the ball very well, it bounced short and rolled toward the hole then dropped. I was surprised as was not expecting any run due to the wet green. I have been waiting 40 years for this moment and beginning to think it would never happen.
