  1. Saturday, October 13th, I was playing in a scramble for a Columbus, Ohio baseball organization. We were playing Little Turtle Golf Club in Westerville.

We rolled into our 18th hole for the day, a slightly uphill par 3 that was playing 184 yards into a gentle breeze. The pin was in a back right location in the green.

I was second to hit I our group. I selected a six iron, tee’d it up, and made my best swing of the day. The ball never wavered from the flag. It hit and started rolling toward the hole until we could no longer see it rolling. We had no idea it went in from our line of sight on the tee.

We rolled up to the green and didn’t see my ball, only my ball mark on the green. I figured it rolled off the back and was buried in the rough behind the green.

As one of my playing partners walked past the area where I thought it would end up, I started to consider maybe it was in the hole.

He turned around and yelled, “It’s in the hole! You made a hole in one!”

We went crazy and thankfully captured the whole celebration on video!
