JUST READ AN ARTICLE SUGGESTING THAT TOM WATSON WOULD BE A GOOD POSSIBILITY FOR CAPTAINS CHOICE ON THE RYDER CUP TEAM.

HE HAS HAD AN OUTSTANDING YEAR OR TWO AND WOULD SURELY BE A CROWD FAVORITE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE POND.

WHAT SAY WE START A CAMPAIGN,,,ON SECOND THOUGHT CORY PROBABLY HAS ALREADY THOUGHT ABOUT IT.

    WHAT DO YOU THINK?

could be a great pick...almost like a playing captain...i think he could really help a  young guy / rookie find his way during a pressure filled week.

  3. Mr. Watson is STILL a great player. He's been on a few Ryder Cup teams as well as being the captain in 1993. Having said all of that stuff, in my opinion, he'd be an excellent "Pick"!

I would pick Tom Watson.  Why not?  To be honest, there haven't been too many Americans that have played better than him over the last year or so.

My only hesitation in picking Tom Watson might be a question of whether he could manage 36 holes a day for a couple days. More than likely, age would become a factor, but there's probably nothing wrong with playing 18 and sitting another 18 the same day. I bet the European team members would be a bit intimidated by him, regardless of his age. It could be really interesting.

I would love to see it!  He's still playing great.  This is going to be a sweet year either way.

One could make valid arguments for many of the players that are floating between the PGA and Champions tour.

I would definetly be a vote on fellow Texan Tom Watsons campaign . He would be an excellent player or Ambassador for the Team as well as the game ,wish I had as much game as he does in my 60's

Hate to bust your bubble but Tommy is from Kansas (Stilwell to be exact).  Even run into him every now and then at the club and yes hand down awesome guy and def. a great pick cause even at his age he is still a bomber!
