Personally I love this event.  It's something I look forward to every time it happens, because it's not everyday that golf becomes a team sport.  With that said, let's get the discussion going!

Who do you want to see paired up/ play against each other?

For me I really want to see Fowler vs McIlory.  Two young guns in their first Ryder Cup... I think those two will really get after it.

I need to see a Mickelson Fowler pairing as well.  I think those are two of the most exciting players to watch.

I would also love to see Kaymer vs Johnson.  I think Dusty would like to get another shot at him after the debacle at the PGA, and they both won in the same week.  A couple of heavy weights for sure.

Either way I can't wait to see this whole thing play out.

    It's going to be awesome!

  2. I'm pretty excited, can't wait! It's VERY intense. Obviously, I'm going to cheer for my Country. However, I have to say that the Euro team is a pretty strong team, no matter what. I wish both teams the best, and may the best golf show.

  3. Its a great event watched by billions of people around the globe in 150+ different countries - 4 days and counting.

I am REALLY REALLY pumped. I love golf obviously but, when they add the team aspect using i.e. fourman,  fourball etc. it makes it much more exciting! Especially when they drop a 20 foot birdie for the match and they act like NFL stars and show emotion for their country. Don't get me wrong, I love the classy etiquette of the sport but, it's nice to see a little emotion like that from time to time and that what makes the Ryder Cup THAT much better! - Brett

No kidding.  Being on a team brings out the best in everyone.  It's awesome to see someone do something special and see it inspire their teammate to do the same, especially in golf.  Usually it's inspiring their opponent to knock it closer or knock them off the leaderboard.  It's one of the oldest events, and the only time golfers get to play on a team.  I can't wait for this weekend.

WHOEVER HAS THE HOT PUTTERS WILL WIN.

REMEMBER THOSE GREENS RUN 10-11 STMP WHERE OUR GUYS ARE USUALLY 13-14----BIG,,,BIG DIFFERENCE.

  7. Well, the pairings are out. I'm pretty excited!

The speed(s) of the green's will be a factor this year. They're going to have to putt very well.

I was also thinking...there are 2 different teams, from both sides of our world, representing their Countries...but a majority of them have 1 thing in common...they trust Titleist golf balls, etc., to play their best golf. It says A LOT when so many players trust a specific brand/ball. Titleist is absoluetly the best that there is. Period.

Yup, pretty much have to turn nocturnal or stay away from the internet to enjoy this event!

  10. Oh, Euro golf..."bad" weather is "good" weather. I absolutely LOVE playing in the rain, wind, etc.. Those kind of conditions can really test a player. Mr. Stricker had quite a rules situation, eh? The Ryder Cup is so intense! I have butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it.

I'm not sure how they plan to get all of the points in by Sunday.  Could this become the first 4 day Ryder Cup?

I love Ryder Cup! I feel the butterflys in my stomach every shot like it's the 18th tee shot, Sunday, at a major. My hands are tingling. I almost just knocked over my orange juice when I went to pick it up. These guys are true competitors. This guy is "Stoked on the Ryder Cup"!

"Boom BABY!"  I jumped out of my seat when Overton dunked that eagle.  Although this isn't going the American's way I can wait for the Sunday Monday Singles.  Work production is going to hit an all time low if I can get the feed to work.

  14. Yeah, it doesn't look too good at the moment, does it? You never know though, the U.S.A. could play some amazing golf on Monday. I'm already starting to hear all kinds of junk about Mr. Pavin. I mean, is he to blame, or are the players just not playing very good? Who knows. The important thing is, we need to focus and bring home the 2010 Ryder Cup!

Wow what a cup.  I about lost it when Fowler made his epic comeback.  Although it didn't go our (USA's) way, it was one awesome cup.  I can't wait till 2012!  The Ryder cup is the best!!!

I agree i would love to see rory and ricky go at it. i've been saying that since the beginning of the pga season this year. I even predicted ricky would make the team this year. Rory is crushing that new 910 driver if any one has been paying attention. Im deffinetly pulling for the U.S. But that little bit of me really wants to see irish do well you know. luckly for me im in japan so this turny comes on at 3pm for me. down side is im blocked from streaming video on the internet, due to reagion. but i hope everyone else enjoys watching this as much as me.
