I know the rules, my beef is they erect a fence where none need be. The ball couldn't be found, unlike when someone finds a ball next to a TIO. Should be lost ball retee hitting 3.

Professional tournament golf is a completely different animal from the golf that you and I play. 50,000 people a day are walking around the course. There are vendors, TV equipment and trailers, scoreboards, hospitality tents viewing stands, port-a-johns and a ton of other things. These fences are erected to keep people out of certain areas and are done at the discretion of the people that are running the event. If the area behind the fence is still on the golf course proper, then the player is going to get relief in accordance with the rules of golf. If you disagree with it, well, that's your right to do so, however that's the way it is in the world of professional tournament golf.

A Rules Official determines the outcome of the incident in which they are called upon. As golf fans/TV viewers, we should analyse and discuss each incident (Bryson, Rd 2) and thus share our views on whether the Rules Official's decision was accurate or not.

IMHO, there are no favourites in the PGA tour. Our perception is biased due to our emotions and preconceptions and what we are shown on TV.

Golf needs a 'showman'. E.g., Arnie, The Golden Bear, Trevino, Seve, Tiger, Phil, Rickie, Rory, Jordan, Captain America and yes! even Bryson among others. They have had different skills, demeanours, achievements and personality traits. We have placed them under certain stereotypes: 'heroes' & 'villains'.

So the strangest one I saw was on the LPGA. No fans were allowed at the ANA Inspiration so they set up a back barrier on 18 where the grandstands would have been so that players going for the green in 2 would not hit it too deep and bounce into the water behind the green. The thought was, i guess, to make it fair compared to previous years.
