Mine is my best friend and she is also easy on the eyes so I get distracted sometimes. Plus she can hold her own (cutting up when playing with the guys) . How about you any other golfing couples?

I've convinced my wife to play with me two times. She openly hates the game because 1) of the time investment and 2) she admits to being terrible with no interest in learning how to play. I did get her to drive a cart three times last year when I took the kids out - it's amazing how much influence a good bloody mary has.

If you have access to a par 3 nine hole course, it's a great place to introduce the game to someone who is new or doesn't play golf regularly. A 3.5 to 4.5 hrs golf round is a commitment, so I completely understand her position. Another thought is to find a Ladies or Women's golf group which she can join. There are options out there if she's open to playing the game.

Count me and my wife as another one of the golfing couples. Our regional golf association (the NCGA) holds multiple Mixed Couples tournaments annually and we do our best to attend as many as we can. We've been fortunate enough to win our flight. Most of the tournaments are a modified alternate shot format, so things can get rocky if the partnership is not solid on and off the course. It's always a treat when she'll randomly ask, "Hey, want to play a quick 9?"

My wife and I have golfed together for many years. She has been battling health issues the last few years so she hasn’t played much. Doing much better now and looking forward to playing together more this upcoming season.

My wife loved playing for a few years but has aged out. Still misses it and enjoys attending events without playing.

It's nice that more resort courses are incorporating putting and par 3 courses which gives golfers who can't tackle a full course an opportunity to join in on the fun

I attempted to get my wife to golf with me 2 years ago, ended up giving her clubs I got her to her cousin. She’s just not into it, but she’ll go occasionally to drive the cart and enjoy some wine.

My wife got hooked on golf when she and I got hitched. She likes to get out with her girlfriends and play 9 holes when the weather is good. I've committed to golfing with her about once a month but I think she enjoys playing with her friends more. I tend to get too serious about the game for her to want to play more often with me. For her the game is more about golf fashion and socializing. She refuses to take lessons, and I learned a long time ago NOT to offer any advise. We do enjoy our time on the course, and I get a kick out of her post game comments on how she played.

My wife and I play with other couples from time to time and it's never a good thing when one person in the couple is giving on course golf instructions while the other is not hearing any of it. It makes for a long day and those post round drinks can't come soon enough

To me this was a funny story. Played as a single one Sunday this Fall. Got paired up with a guy and his wife. Really nice couple. Had a great time playing with them. He is trying to give her pointers during the front 9 and as you can guess she's having none of that. On probably hole 10 or 11, he drops her off at her ball and drives up to find his. She's been chunking it all day. After she hits and does it again, I offer her a little tip to get her to stop doing that. It was one of the things her husband had already told her more than once btw. She does what I told her to do on her next shot. Rips her shot up onto the green. Her husband is like, "you finally did what I was telling you, great shot". She goes, "no you didn't that guy told me that". We all had a great laugh about it. He knew she wasn't listening to him at all.

Brad we're in the same zip code. I split my time between Hunters and Finkbine - let me know if you ever want to play!

My wife is a great athlete, and enjoys playing the occasional round of golf with me. Being a good athlete, the patience and time commitment to playing decent golf seems to be more than she's willing to commit to, and then she gets frustrated when she plays poorly. I get it, I'm right there with her...except I'm obsessed with golf and willing to devote significant more time to it than her. Either way, always a great time when we get out and play together!

My fiancé is not interested in playing golf. She likes going to Topgolf or riding in the cart but that's it. Had an ex-wife that I played a bunch of golf with. That was one of the few things we actually enjoyed doing together. Haha. I've seen the pluses and minuses both ways. If I had to pick one, it would probably be that the wife doesn't golf. Need that time with my buddies.
