I had the original Chrome with red and black TT badge on the leather strap. Had it on the bag for years, I guess so much movement the weight of the tag cut through the strap. Strap fell into the pocket, tag is gone fore ever. Be careful if you are fortunate enough if you have the heavy metal ones.

That sucks to hear you lost your Ambassador tag. Yes, those leather straps do wear out over time. I keep some extra straps in my bag in the event something happens and as an extra measure, I'll use a small zip tie to secure it. The carabiner with the TT rubber disk is a great design.

Sorry for your loss. I always use the rubber TT bag tags. The chrome and pewter ones stay at home. The chrome one was a real classic.

Yep. I know the feeling. Had one “disappear” from my bag as well. Learned the hard way and the next one will be secured with some kind of electrical shock that zaps you if you try to remove.
  5. I have the rubber putting disc tag, and with it's very easy to remove carabiner, it stays attached to my display bag in my office.
Sad, but better than having it disappear because people are jerks, sometimes...

if I know I'm going to a crowded event, I'll bring it with for warmups etc, then put it in one of my zippered pockets...
